Boost Your Color Perception

How good are you at mixing and matching colors? Do you know what colors to mix, and in what proportions to make oranges, purples, grays, or different shades of green? Come play this fun game, Mixacolor, and soon you can match any color really fast!

In each round of Maxicolor you match 10 randomly generated target colors one after another. Match each target color by mixing colors from a palette of 8 main colors: white, black, blue, cyan, green, yellow, magenta, and red. These 8 colors are the primary RGB colors, their complementary CMY colors, plus black and white.

To match a given target color, first tap on a starting color from the palette, and then mix in other colors from the palette by slowly rubbing your finger on them. The longer you rub a color, the more it gets mixed in.

Mixing colors on a digital device is a bit different than mixing colors on paper or canvas. For example, mixing blue and yellow which are complementary colors produces gray, not green! But green is already one of the 8 given colors, and by mixing it with the other 7 colors you can create all shades of green.

Here are some tips:
Red + Blue = Purple
Red + Green = Brown
Red + Yellow = Orange
Red + Cyan = Gray
Blue + Yellow = Gray
Magenta + Green = Gray
White + Black = Gray
Mix in White to make colors lighter
Mix in Black to make colors darker
Try mixing these pairs of colors, and other pairs too, and in different proportions, to see what colors they generate. Then try mixing a mixed color with a main color form the palette, and so on. Your eyes will guide you.

Once you match a target color closely enough, you get a new target color to match.
To reset the color you have mixed and start over mixing, tap on the mixed color.
To skip a target color, tap on it and another random color replaces it, but dont give up too soon! You can also switch the difficulty level at anytime.
Mixacolor tracks the number of your successful color matches and your speed; that is, average time to match a color.
After a round of matching 10 colors the game stops until you start another round of 10.
To reset the entire game--and your score--simply tap on the title, MIXACOLOR.

Have fun mixing colors! Your eyes and brain will love the challenge! Your friends will love it too! Your rating, feedback, and review is just a couple of clicks away, and much appreciated.
